Abstract of relinquishments, 1821-1823.

Lists of land relinquished under an act of Congress (March 2, 1821) contain tract entries which include Receiver's office folio number; remaining tracts held by the relinquisher; purchaser name and residence; relinquished tract legal description; amount owed by purchaser (i.e., total purchase price and accrued interest); purchaser payment or credit amount (i.e., cash payment; discount allowance; interest payment); whole or partial relinquished tract legal description; relinquished tract acreage and purchase value; unrelinquished tract legal descriptions for which purchase price has been completely paid; acreage and purchase value of any amount paid on relinquished tract; 37 1/2 % discount cash payments (including tract legal description; acreage; purchase price payments; relinquished tract legal description from which a credit transfer has been made toward retained land payment); Register's certificate number; purchaser, assignee, or legal representative name and residence.
